We're surrounded by silver linings

Not long ago the hubs and I started the process of refinancing our house. This led to a laundry list of repairs that needed to be made before the re-fi could go through. Well at the time there was also 3 feet of snow on the ground. Nothing was getting done. Now our front porch isn't only repaired but looks spectacular. It's a great thing we didn't do it ourselves because it was in worse shape then we'd imagined. The porch is wonderful and safe and done. HUZZAH!
Additionally my application is in to USC. I know that I need to have guarded anticipation of the answer but I'm so stinking excited and optimistic! The program would make the next year of our lives hell but at the end of the tunnel is a bright light with a new career that will give me more time with my daughter and more money in the bank. It will also give us the security of my having a job that offers health insurance so the hubs doesn't have to carry that burden alone. Following your dreams is never easy but it's always worth it.
The munchki-moo is doing wonderfully and seemingly has no idea that her world is about to be turned upside down for 2 months as our sitter goes on maternity leave. Not to mention the mayhem that will ensue if....no when! I get into USC. I know it will all be worth it and truly hope I can impart that to the mini one.
So basically .... our house is safer and prettier, tough but good times lie ahead and the lanks is fantastic. Can;t ask for anything more I think.
